Take a Photo or 2D Snapshot

Take a 2D Snapshot

Open Workshop. Navigate and pan to the view you want.

If your view is still loading (tiling) then wait for it to finish loading.

You can take a Snapshot while in:

  • Inside View
  • Dollhouse View
  • Floorplan View
  • 360º View
You cannot take a Snapshot from a scan position or a 360º View that is hidden. Unhide it first and then proceed to take a Snapshot.

Click the Snapshot icon in the Workshop Toolbar.

The view will take up the entire Workshop screen.

Make sure you've selected 2D Snapshot (flat photo icon) in the top-right corner. The other icon is for 360º Snapshots  single panoramas for social sharing.

Pan the view (click and hold then move mouse) to get the exact view you want.

Click on the Assets icon to include Mattertag™ Posts, Workshop measurements, and Labels in your Snapshot. The icon will change to an open eye to show that they are now visible.

Not all assets will appear when you take a Snapshot. Consult the table to see what assets will appear based on your current view.
