How to remove artifacts under the floor?

I feel that I've done everything I can to reduce the chance of them showing up, however I'm still getting artifacts under the floor.

Here is where I've trimmed the model:

I can see no reference to this issue elsewhere so I thought it was worth making a post about it in case I'm missing something obvious.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

  • I also sent this message to support and they've come back to say that, although they did try to remove them, there is no way of getting it any better.

We would need a horizontal trim tool, however there are no plans to create one of those.

It turns out that the artifacts were a result of the bases of some stools above having a very shiny mirror finish.

  • Sadly you can't, as it's impossible to use the tool to mark a mirror on the floor.  I believe that the only way to stop these artifacts happening would have been to cover the mirror finish of the stools.  Or in some way stop them from being so reflective.

This wouldn't have been very practical and unlikely to have been approved by the client.

It's certainly something to watch out for in the future.
