Scan an area where a door is closed and then opened to scan a bedroom

I shot a home for one of my realtors on Friday and struggled to connect scans. My Matterport keep saying there was not enough overlap. One bedroom door in a hallway was installed incorrectly. To tour the bedroom I had to open the door into the hall which blocked off the hall. I understand the scan saw the door closed and then saw an opening into the bedroom in the next scan and said what's going on here...How do you pros scan with similar issues? Here's the space the bedroom in questions is off a narrow hallway next to the master bathroom.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jeff

  • In this case the door needs to be at 45 angle open, or taken off.  In regards to doors, always best having them open during your shoot vs. closed/open.
