Capture app ignores bandwidth available to it while uploading?
Does anyone pay attention to the upload speed of Capture app?
The calculation is simple, just to divide model data amount by the time it takes to finish upload. The data amount needs to be in bit instead of Byte (1 Byte = 8 bits), and the time needs to be in seconds. One scan is roughly 20 MB of data (which is 160 Mb), I read this somewhere, can't remember was it in the documents or some post in the community.
This calculation will give you a number with unit of Mbps, which in theory should not be too far away from the bandwidth available to the app during upload.
To measure the bandwidth that's available, I would recommend Speedtest by Ookla.
I don't know if you would be interested with this, but in my situation, Capture app only uses one fiftieth to one twentieth of the bandwidth that is available to it, which means the upload process could be twenty to fifty times faster.
I've submitted a ticket regarding this, and am still waiting for a solution. I hope someone in the community could help. My last and also the first upload took 24 hours to upload just 88% of a model with only 30 scans.
