How to view and share a Matterport model inside Autodesk BIM 360

BIM360 is construction management software that now allows users to embed Matterport models directly into the platform. This is an incredibly useful ability that allows BIM360 users to enable collaborators to view models using a URL generated by Showcase. What’s more, intrepid users can use Matterport deep links to not only share the space, but the exact location of the issue inside that space.RFI-and-Deep-links-720P.gif

An example in practice

To illustrate the use of this integration, consider an example. A client wants to confirm the distance between each of the studs inside the wall on a construction site. The client creates a BIM request for information conveying this desire. Instead of providing the client with a lengthy description, the BIM user can simply share a Matterport Showcase URL to the area of the model with the studs being discussed

This guide will walk you through this process in more detail.
