Admin Privileges in Matterport Cloud

These changes will come into effect on March 1st, 2019.

There are three types of administrators in Matterport Cloud (my.matterport.com).

Admin Type Capabilities

Normal Admin

  • Upload 3D models from the iOS Capture app
  • View, edit, and delete ANY 3D model in the account
  • Add/delete collaborators and modify permissions
  • View space statistics across the entire account
  • View usage and uploads across the entire account
  • Enable or disable Schematic Floor Plans, VR Sharing, and other defaults across the entire account.
Billing Contact Admin
  • Everything a normal admin can do
  • Download invoices
  • Access and update billing information (ie credit card info)
  • Receive billing related emails
  • Upgrade or downgrade subscription plan
  • Reassign the Billing Contact privilege to another admin
Account Owner
  • Everything a billing contact can do
  • Single point-of-contact as the owner of the Matterport account
  • Reassign the Billing Contact privilege to another admin
  • Reassign the Account Owner privilege to another admin

No changes to normal collaborators (ie users) and their set of view/edit permissions. Read more about normal collaborators.

 

Designate the Billing Contact Admin

You can only have one Billing Contact Admin in your account at once. To reassign the Billing Contact privilege to a different admin, first go to my.matterport.com/settings/account/roles.

Under the Billing Contact section, click the drop-down menu. Choose an available admin user from the list and then click assign. In the example below, ‘Andrew Admin’ is the current Billing Contact and we are changing it to make ‘Anna Admin’ the new Billing Contact.

Change the Account Owner

Your account in Matterport is required to have one designated Account Owner at any given time. To reassign the Account Owner privilege to a different admin, first go to my.matterport.com/settings/account/roles.

If you cannot login as the current Account Owner, please contact our Customer Success team to verify ownership of your account.

Under the Account Owner section, click the drop-down menu. Choose an available admin user from the list and then click assign. In the example below, ‘Aaron Owner' is the current Account Owner and he is changing it to make ‘Betty Owner' the new Account Owner.
