Known Issues & Updates for the BLK360 Public Beta

This section is for beta participants and keeps track of all known issues. For any questions or issues with the Leica BLK360 beta, please email beta-blk360@matterport.com.

Matterport & Leica BLK360 integration is in beta testing and is not fully functional. We encourage you to try and give feedback, but it's not intended for critical, sensitive, or client work yet. Use on a backup iPad if possible.

For the beta release, we recommend just using the BLK360 and the Matterport Capture app. Scans from the Pro or Pro2 cameras may not always align with BLK360 scans.

 

Known Issues

HDR 2 to 5 scans cannot be exported to Recap

If you wish to export your scans to Recap, change the setting to HDR off in Matterport Capture before you scan.

Windows can appear overblown and pink with no HDR

Exterior scans can cause splotches

Lens Flare

If scanning in direct sun or with bright lights, change to HDR 3 or 4 setting. If indoors, you can also try to even the lighting (turn on/off lights or lower shades). If outdoors, you can wait until it is cloudy or at sunset.

Camera error

If you get this error, reboot the camera:

  • Press and hold the power button on the back of the BLK360.
  • Wait for it to turn off
  • Press the power button again
